Mustang Rental Services, a division of Mustang Cat, is seeking an experienced and results-driven Rental Sales Manager to lead one of our high-performing rental outside sales teams. This is a pivotal leadership role responsible for driving revenue, strengthening customer relationships, and developing team talent across Southeast Texas.
What You'll Do as a Rental Sales Manager:
As the Rental Sales Manager, your primary responsibility is to lead a team of Outside Sales Representatives in pursuit of increased equipment rentals, market share, and profitability. Key responsibilities include:
- Manage one of four territory-based Rental Sales Teams
- Drive daily sales activities through time and territory management, CRM follow-up, and lead distribution
- Evaluate and coach team members to ensure top-tier performance
- Review call reports, lost rental opportunities, and new account openings
- Support resolution of collections, disputes, and escalated customer issues
- Ensure a customer-first experience at every interaction
- Organize and deliver sales and product training for team development
- Set individual goals and KPIs for each sales rep
- Collaborate closely with Branch Managers and the General Rental Manager
- Champion Mustang's brand and reputation across the rental market

Position Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Management, or related field
(Will consider equivalent industry experience in lieu of degree)
- Minimum 5 years of sales or sales management experience in the equipment rental or construction industry
- Proven ability to motivate and lead sales teams to exceed targets
- Strong understanding of CRM systems, preferably Salesforce, and Integrated Rental platforms
- Ability to analyze performance, set KPIs, and hold team members accountable
- Excellent negotiation, conflict resolution, and communication skills
- Customer-focused mindset and a proactive problem solver
- Demonstrated ability to build relationships with contractors, branch teams, and internal departments
